Instructions for preparing full-length documents of free works.

Please print and read carefully this information before preparing your full lenght manuscript.

  1. Full papers of contributed works must be uploaded into the system in PDF format. The system will not accept files in other formats.
  2. Authors are requested to download here the MS Word template for full-papers, as well as to respect the format that it uses: (Arial 12-point, using bold only for titles) and two-column format, including page Cover, logos, headers and footers that make up the template. Sections that are not required in the manuscripts can be removed. Documents not made with the template will not be included in the memories.
  3. You must complete the content for each section:
    • Key of the work (essential to associate the document with the abstract and to query works in the system).
    • Work title (it must be identical to that of the abstract; otherwise, the work will be rejected).
    • Authors (they must be the same to those of the abstract. Otherwise, the work will be rejected).
    • Address of the authors.
    • e-mail of the corresponding author.
    • Introduction
    • Objectives.
    • Material and methods.
    • Results
    • Discussion
    • Conclusions
    • Bibliography

Note: if the authors consider that any of these sections do not apply to their work can omit it, but we strongly encourage you to respect the titles of the sections described in the template.

Note: if any of the labels in the template used to help formate the document are not used, you must delete them.  If you paste the text into your document, please check that the font type and size were not altered.
  1. The document should have a maximum extension of 7 pages, including the cover, and the file must not exceed 4 MB in size.
  2. You can include tables, and figures in the sections: introduction, development, results, and discussion. There is no limit on the number of tables or figures but remember that the document should not exceed 4MB in size. If the document exceeds this size the system will issue a message for invalid document format.
  3. You must ensure that the figures and tables occupy half a page as a minimum or an entire sheet as a maximum. Figures should include a figure caption (located at the bottom of the figure) in which the following information must be included ( which is also described in the template ):

Figure  (Arabic numeral) : Title of the figure. Brief description of the content of the figure (Source, if necessary).

Example:

Figure 1: Flow diagram of the process. This figure shows the main steps of the described process. Step III is highlighted because it is the critical checkpoint.  (Modified from Parker, et al. 1980).

  1. Tables should include a title (located at the top of the table ) with the following information (also described in the template)

Table (Roman number): Title of the table

Example:

Table III: Classification of corn varieties

  1. Include citations (using the Author-year system ). Cite all the authors when they are at most two. If there are three or more authors, cite only the first author and use et al. Then add the year of publication . If you cite the same year and the same authors for a different reference, use a lower case letter after the year to differentiate

Example of  correct citations:

(Gutiérrez, 1998)
(Mattias and Salgado, 2003)
(Marques et al., 2007)
(Marques et al., 2007b)

  1. After filling the document, you should convert it to PDF format. Avoid sending PDF files of scanned documents as images because these documents will be rejected.
  2. The deadline for receipt of full-papers of contributed works will be until Dec 31th, 2025.
  3. Remember that only a non-extensive review process is carried out on full papers. Therefore any errors in grammar or format found after sending the document will be under the responsibility of the authors.
  4. The version of the work delivered by the authors will be published as-is in the supplement of the Journal of Bioengineering and Biomedicine Research (JBBR).
